These emphases and praxis about material blessings have been questioned by different authors (G\u00F3ngora 1996, Oca\u00F1a, 2002 and others).\u000AThe majority of the pastors and laity interviewed affirmed that prosperity also came through work and saving and thus it does not come only as a blessing from God. Believers should assume responsibility of having a positive attitude and working if they want to achieve material wellbeing. In some way they are similar in approach to the Weber\u2019s Protestant ethics, but from a different angle and praxis.
