(A10IFD).Those efforts of social assistance do not have much infrastructure, resources and are more of a temporary nature.\u000AThese churches usually have economic resources but they concentrate their attention on evangelism. For example, the co-pastor of FCG said that the social action was understood as helping the poor in the surrounding areas, which needs to be done but it is not the principal function of the church (A11FCG). He affirmed that one possibility for the future could be to build an orphanage, and an old people\u2019s home, but \u2018now this is not our calling, our calling is to win souls for Christ\u2019 (A11FCG). A lay person from this church said that although the leadership of the church talk about the \u2018impact of Christianity on the nation\u2019 the emphasis was on the commission to evangelize and to make disciples (L6FCG).\u000AThe ICV Pastor affirmed that they do not have social aid projects at the local level. Their orphanage is a national project financed principally from outside (P1ICV). The IVF senior pastor said that although his church has a medical clinic, they have not made the development of social aid programmes their priority (P6IVF).\u000AOther pastors commented that the church is facing different problems with regard to carrying out their social responsibility. One of the associate pastors of LDG commented that \u2018the ideological conflict through which the country passed during the war polarized the country and as a result it is hard to do social work\u2019. He underlined that their \u2018message is very poor about social issues\u2019 (A1LDG). The researcher observed that even though some have ideas about social aid projects not all of them have been implemented. This is the case of the \u2018Familia de Dios\u2019 church. The senior pastor said that he had plans from the beginning to build an orphanage and old people\u2019s home when they had the right property.
